Officer Comes Prepared, Saves Several Lives

In Fresno, California, police were called after a woman claimed that an intruder had broken into her home. She saw a man in a hooded gray sweatshirt standing in her kitchen. He left and placed a knife on her counter.

The police then received a call from two doors down where a male victim reported injuries. The victim escaped his attacker but was stabbed three times in the chest, twice in the back and once in the chin.

As the responding officer attempted to help the injured man, the suspect appeared and struck the cop in the face. The cop then fired four rounds to finally stop the violent attacker. The suspect had a criminal record and has been known for violent outbursts in the past.

The stabbing victim was the suspect's uncle. The cop has been placed on administrative leave, pending a routine investigation. Everything was recorded on the officer's body camera.
