Officer Pulls Man Over For A Broken Headlight - Encounter Takes An Unexpected Turn

Lee Riley Freeman was driving her car and knew full well that her headlight was out. When she finally got pulled over for the infraction—he explained to the Kentucky police officer that he had an extra bulb in his car, he just didn’t know how to replace it.

That’s when Officer Adrian McKinney truly embodied his vow of “protecting and serving” the community. According to Fox News Insider, instead of writing Freeman a ticket and forcing her to pay a fine he decided that he would help.

He asked Freeman to pop his hood and attempt to juggle the stubborn light bulb from its socket for the next 20 minutes. In a post on the Love What Matters social media page, Freeman described McKinney has “handier than a pocket on a shirt.” He even burned his fingers in the process, but made sure that Freeman didn’t continue driving with only one headlight.

“It was hot, muggy and dark,” Freeman wrote. “He also ended up with burned fingers trying to help me out. He didn't have to change it for me. He could have written me a ticket. But he took an oath to protect and serve, and he did just that tonight. Thank you Officer McKinney!"
