New Mother Had 57 Minutes To Say Goodbye To Her Dying Infant - Has Genius Idea

Parents of stillborn babies are faced with an unimaginable nightmare. Having to say goodbye immediately after childbirth is a painful experience, and hospitals do their best to provide the comfort and atmosphere they need to get through this difficult time. According to Little Things, there’s an innovative invention that’s being used to assist the grieving parents.

The invention is known as a ‘Cuddle Cot,” and it provides a small bit of solace for grieving families as it provides them with some extra time to say goodbye. The body temperature of a stillborn infant drops quickly, and they’re typically hurried off to the morgue so the body can be preserved for the funeral. These specially designed bassinets will keep the babies cool enough so that the parents can take the time they need to say goodbye.

Brady and Brittney Rasco recently dealt with the heartbreak of a stillborn childbirth. They were aware that their daughter, Brylen, would not make it for long - if at all - after delivery. The couple found out about the Cuddle Cots, and they used it to say goodbye. They were so impressed with it, they went ahead and purchased one to donate to the hospital as a means of helping other grieving parents.
