New Black Panther Leader Shocks After Agreeing With Trump (Video)
Trump is getting some agreement from a most unlikely source. The leader of the New Black Panther Party in Houston, Texas says Trump made some good points, and black people should be listening.
Quanell X appeared on Houston Fox last week to agree with some of the remarks Donald Trump made on the campaign trail. He's urging black people to start listening to Trump.
“Let me say this to the brothers and sisters who listened and watched that speech. We may not like the vessel that said what he said, but I ask us to truly examine what he said, because it is a fact that for 54 years, we have been voting for the Democratic Party like no other race in America. And they have not given us the same loyalty and love that we have given them,” said X.
X did not speak favorably about President Barack Obama, who got 96% of the black vote in 2008 and 94% of it in 2012. “The first black president ever. But did our condition get better? Did financially, politically, academically, with education in our community, did things get better?” X asked. “Are our young people working more than what is was before he came into office? The condition got worse.”
While X isn't going as far as to support Trump, he does hope that other black people will hear the wake-up call.
"Look, the African-American community has been let down by our politicians. They talk good around election time, like right now, and after the election, they said, ‘see ya later, I’ll see you in four years’," Trump said at the first presidential debate last night. "The African-American community — because — look, the community within the inner cities has been so badly treated. They’ve been abused and used in order to get votes by Democrat politicians, because that’s what it is. They’ve controlled these communities for up to 100 years."
