Nevada Assemblywoman Posts Family Holiday Photo Supporting The Second Amendment

On December 1, Michele Fiore, who represents Clark County District 4 in Las Vegas, posted her family's Christmas portrait.

In the image, she and her family show their support for the Second Amendment as the nine family members, dressed in blue jeans and red tops, accessorize with varying gun types. The Brooklyn native stated, "It's up to Americans to protect America. We're just your ordinary family."

At the bottom of the photo reads "From My Family to Yours, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays." On the top right corner is a caption describing each gun being held. From left to right, it states “David: Beretta 92FS, Sheena: Glock 30 45 acp, Michele: Serbu Super Shorty 12ga, Lill: Extar EXP556, Savanah: Glock 19 9 mm, Kyle: Glock 30 45asp.”

Only the three young children aren't holding guns. The photo was loaded just a day before two gunmen opened fire at a holiday party in San Bernardino, Calfornia--killing 14. Some commenters did not like the photo including one who wrote "What an ignorant person (and family) you are now the joke of Facebook and should be incarcerated for child abuse."

A supporter wrote "Girl, you are absolutely my hero! You are the epitome of what this nation is about. Thank you for what you do! Merry Christmas to you and yours!" Another user wrote, "I am proud of this family. They have taken personal responsibility for their families safety."

In addition, another wrote, "As the government has admitted, in mass shooting events...everyone is dead in the first 10 minutes. Police can't arrive on the scene and do anything to save folks within those few minutes. People must protect themselves."
