Natalee Holloway's Father Makes Astonishing Update On Case

It’s been twelve years since Natalee Holloway disappeared without a trace. The 18-year-old had gone to Aruba to celebrate her high school graduation, and she disappeared after meeting a man named Joran van der Sloot.

While he has always been the prime suspect, charges were never able to stick, and Holloway’s disappearance remains an unsolved case. He’s now serving a 28-year prison sentence in Peru for killing another young woman.

As the Daily Mail shares, Holloway’s father, Dave Holloway, has never given up the fight to solve his daughter’s tragic disappearance. He recently received some astonishing information, and he felt compelled to check it out.

"When we determined these remains were human, I was shocked. I know there's a possibility this could be someone else, and I'm just trying to wait and see,” he explained during an interview on NBC’s ‘Today'. "We have a person who states he was directly involved with Joran van der Sloot in disposing of Natalee's remains.

I thought, you know, there may be something to this. We've chased a lot of leads and this one is by far the most credible lead I've seen in the last 12 years.”

What he found out will be featured on an upcoming series entitled "The Disappearance of Natalee Holloway," but he offered some information on what he uncovered.

“We did an 18-month undercover investigation with an informant who was friends with an individual who had personal knowledge from Joran van der Sloot. And had information that took us to a spot where remains were found. And we took those remains and had those remains tested. And they just returned last week they are human remains,” he said.

He continues, “Throughout this process, over the last 12 years, Matt, we had a number of disappointments. I put up a wall, trying to find something that is not going to disappointment. And when we determined these remains were human, I was shocked. And I know that there's a possibility this could be someone else. And I'm just trying to wait and see.”

A friend of van der Sloot named Gabriel also makes an appearance in the series, and he provided some chilling details on Holloway’s disappearance, including the involvement of van der Sloot’s father.

“He panicked, he didn't put her on her side or nothing, and she choked on her vomit. And he says [to his son], 'OK, wait here,' and he goes back to the house and gets a burlap. He comes back and says, 'OK, she doesn't fit here.' So he stomps on her legs and cracks her legs and puts her in the burlap and folds her over. So they grab her and put her in the back of [Paulus'] car and they drive her to a park. And they pick a spot, puts her in, covers her up and his dad goes, 'grab that cactus, that will just cover everything up.' And his dad goes, 'Don't you tell nobody. Nobody.' But he told John.”

The series sounds like it’s a must-watch, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed that the Holloway family gets all of the answers they’re looking for.
