Mystery Finally Solved Involving The Disappearance Of Teen Mother

Police in St. Petersburg, FL have made some progress in the cold case murder of Morgan Martin, who was 17-years-old and pregnant at the time of her murder in 2012. According to the Daily Mail, 28-year-old Jacobee Flowers has been indicted for murdering his then-girlfriend and disposing of her body.

The man was initially a suspect in the woman’s disappearance, but police couldn’t make a case for his involvement.

“Flowers denied any knowledge of Morgan’s whereabouts and minimized his relationship with Morgan. He denied fathering her unborn child. Investigators sought out any other potential persons who might be connected to Morgan’s disappearance. Everything continued to point toward Flowers as the only person of interest. After several months of investigation and searches, Morgan was not found and the case grew cold,” explains St Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway.

The department’s cold case unit reexamined the case and was able to uncover new evidence and leads. Flowers is currently serving time on unrelated charges, and is now facing a trial for murder.

“Detectives believe that there are other people who have information about Morgan Martin’s disappearance and murder. We are appealing to them to contact us now. We are committed to locating Morgan’s body, so that her family can have a proper funeral for her and her unborn baby,” Holloway continued.
