Mother Shocks Community 4 Years After Her Son's Death When They See What She's Carrying

Mom Courtney Scott is making sure that no one forgets about her late son Carsyn.

This fall, the grieving mother knew she would not be dropping off Carsyn at school on his first day as she had imagined since the day he was born.

So Scott decided she would do something positive to honor her son’s memory.

That’s when the Viera, Florida, resident set up a Facebook event ahead of Carsyn’s birthday requesting donations for schools in the area. Dozens of people joined her event, including a number of strangers, and she brought in over $1,500 toward school supplies.

“I expected my friends and family may donate some, but everyone began sharing my event and soon donations were pouring in from all over,” Scott explained in an interview with the media.

That’s why Scott walked into what would have been her son’s elementary school on his “first day” to hand teachers school supplies that they could really use.

“I didn’t get to walk into kindergarten with Carsyn, but I was able to walk in with his memory and that was special,” she explained.

The mother of five notes her blonde-haired, blue-eyed baby boy died around four years ago when the 15-month-old boy fell into a neighbor’s koi pond and drowned in a horrific accident.

“I want the world to know about my son forever,” Scott commented. “My biggest worry is that he would be forgotten by friends and family.”

Of note, eight different schools in Brevard County, including the school she visited, received donations because of Scott’s school supply drive.
