Mother Searches The House After A Drive-By Shooting - Makes Heartbreaking Discovery

A Missouri dad is angry after his Kansas City home is riddled with gunfire, the bullets killing his 9-year-old son and his 8-year-old cousin.

A police source says it appears that the individuals responsible for the murders of the two boys were inside the home, located at 58th and College, at some point before the shootings.

"I do not get it. I swear. We have to protect the future. He's the future," Jayden Ugwuh's father Jayson Ugwuh said.

Montell Ross was also killed that morning when a gunman sprayed bullets into the home where the boys were sleeping. There were actually six children sleeping inside the home at the time of the shooting.

According to to Jayden's dad, Jayden awoke at about 1:30 a.m., to a hail of bullets and ran out of his bedroom. He saw his cousin Montell wasn't behind him, so he turned around, ran back to get him and that's when both boys were hit by bullets.

"Didn't even cry, just got hit and ran and laid up under his big brother, you know. Like he knew exactly where to go for comfort, you know what I'm saying," Ugwuh commented sadly.

Jayden’s brother, Jayson Jr., 12, was sleeping in the next room when Jayden was shot. Jayson Junior said that Jayden staggered into his bedroom and snuggled up to him, and when he looked down he saw Jayden's eyes were open, but his brother was no longer there.
