Mother Puts Cameras Inside Her Children's Bedrooms - Horrified By What She Sees Online

Hackers can gain access to your home in very surprising ways. A case in point comes to us from Houston, where a mom named Jennifer was checking out satellite images of their home on Google Earth. She and her son decided to see what else they could find out about the house with an online search.

Using a free app on her phone called Live Stream Viewer, Jennifer started to scroll through the various streaming feeds. She was totally shocked when she saw a bedroom in her own home being broadcast live over the internet.

Apparently, the security cameras in the home had been hijacked. The hackers broke into the home’s internet through a video game her daughters had been playing and put the camera in the girls room on live streaming.

“We have security cameras to protect them,” Jennifer noted. “I feel like I’ve failed. … People are watching my kids in their home, dressing, sleeping, playing. It’s… a parent’s worst nightmare.”

After some thought, Jennifer decided to go public regarding the incident so other parents will have a warning to be concerned about cameras or baby monitors that connected to the internet. These type of cameras can be taken over by external attack band controlled by hackers.

Jennifer has decided she is not going through this nightmare again, so she is not allowing her children online right now, as she “just can’t chance it again.”
