Mother Physically Assaults Son For Trying To Protect His Baby Sister

Heather Michelle Hall is a Pennsylvania woman who was arrested after she choked her 11-year-old son when he fought to try to prevent her from putting his baby sister outside in the snow. She then assaulted and spit on officers who heard her continuously say she no longer wanted her two-year-old daughter.

It was 15F, with six inches of snow, when she tried to leave her daughter outside. West Manchester Township Police were called to Hall's home in Baron Drive, York around 10 p.m. on Sunday night. They say she seemed intoxicated.

Officer Michael Jordan saw Hall asleep with her daughter pinned between her and the back of the couch. When she woke up, she screamed at the officer to get out. She also told her son not to speak to him.

Hall's boyfriend, Mark Gibbs, arrived at the home and picked up a bottle of brandy. He immediately told officers she had been drinking. The family was reported to the York County Office of Children, Youth and Families last month when Hall was allegedly in a drunken stupor outside while her daughter screamed from inside her crib in the apartment.

Hall was charged with child endangerment and aggravated assault on a police officer. She remains in custody in York County Prison on $35,000 bail.
