Mom Takes Entirely Too Long To Realize She Is Not Texting Daughter

Getting a text message from a wrong number is often a harmless mistake that leads to a self-deprecating chuckle. While this mother thought she was messaging her daughter, she was actually messaging a 35-year-old man, who decided to send a witty response.

This unsuspecting mother sent her daughter, Jess, a message asking her to pick up some food for her dad from the store. The text that read “Hunny please grab milk and lunch, meet on your way home,” was met with the man’s response, just stating “I’m pretty sure you have the wrong number. I’m already at home.”

The disbelieving mother ignored the message, thinking her daughter was making a joke. After the man had insisted he was not her daughter and she had texted the wrong number, this mother began to grow impatient.

The text messages eventually turned into threats, with the mother hoping to persuade Jess into going to the store for her by refusing to take her daughter and ‘Brad’ to the movies if she didn’t do as she was asked. It was at this point that the man on the receiving end decided to have some real fun. After telling the mother that the food she asked for was gross, Jess’ mother remained certain that her daughter was simply uncooperative.

Despite at least four messages and two photos from the man on the receiving end, Jess’ mother was determined to ignore the man’s repeated assertions that he was not her daughter, even going as far as to cancel Jess’ movie plans and credit card as punishment for the messages. As the man continues to attempt to convince the mother that he is not, in fact, her daughter, the mother grows angrier and angrier, even believing her daughter is using drugs.

Fortunately, Jess’ mother eventually realized she had been talking to a wrong number when her anger turned towards the man on the end of her messages. The woman continued to attack the man, hurling insults at him. However, the man did not back down, continuing to taunt the mother with one final message: “Sooo… can Brad and I still go to the movies…”
