Mom Horrified To Discover What Grandparents Did To Baby While Watching Him

A mother was left distressed and sickened after discovering that the grandparents of her three-month-old son performed a circumcision without her consent, leaving her baby boy "half-circumcised” and with a number of infections and other medical complications. The mother from Nottingham has revealed that the sight of her son covered in blood was so overwhelming that she had to leave the room.

A 61-year-old man, a 44-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman have all been arrested after it was discovered that they performed a circumcision on a three-month-old baby, leaving the young baby to suffer from recurring infections and a regularly inflamed and sore penis.

“I opened the nappy and I ended up having to leave the room because I felt hysterical,” the unnamed mother stated. “It was just awful really, it wasn’t very nice, there was all blood there and stuff.”

The three-month-old boy was said to be visiting his Muslim grandparents when the operation was performed. Upon discovering the circumcision, the mother of the child contacted social services and then contacted Nottinghamshire police. However, the police did not consider the incident a criminal matter, and forwarded the mother's complaint to the Genera Medical Council.

While male circumcision is considered lawful across the U.K., consent must be given for the operation to be performed. The mother of the mutilated child, who did not give consent for the operation to be performed, has called circumcision an act of “male genital mutilation,” reasoning that “it’s even illegal to dock dogs’ tails. I’ve come home crying my eyes out thinking a dog has more rights than my child.”

The mother of the young boy has noted the lack of response from authorities regarding the matter, stating that her complaints to authorities felt like “speaking to a brick wall.” Upon receiving no retribution from police, the mother eventually sought help from an anti-circumcision group known as ‘Men Do Complain’, as well as human rights lawyer Saimo Chahal.

Mr. Chahal wrote a letter of complaint to Nottinghamshire Police. The investigation was reopened and three people were arrested under the suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. All three individuals were released pending further investigation.

The 3-month-old’s mother has stressed the lasting effects the procedure has had on her son, revealing that the operation left the child’s penis looking “like he’s been half circumcised… there’s half the skin, it’s not all the way over. It swells up, it gets red and a little bit sore in places.”

The mother went on to reveal that “as a new mom, I didn’t know what I was doing with a baby anyway, but now I have that added worry on my mind. I was really upset about it. It didn’t really get much better from there; it’s been ongoing really.”

The young mother, who had even written to MP’s regarding the matter, has emphasized the lack of concern from other people, confessing that “even a couple of police officers have made remarks like ‘Oh my husband is circumcised, I think it’s better’. Or ‘Oh they are tougher than they look, it will toughen him up.'”

“There’s something seriously not right with it all,” the mother concluded. “You can protect a god, you can protect a girl, but not a boy.”
