Mom Found Drunk After Abandoning Her Kids At Park And Telling Them To Wait For Her

While it’s generally poor form to pass judgement from afar, there are certain cases in which the passing of it is well-warranted. For example, there are some rather simple signs that can be observed among parents that generally point to the fact that they have absolutely no business rearing children. The signs take on various forms, and it’s not as cut and dry as seeing an unruly child that may just be having a bad day.

Parenting is an inexact science, and there will be times when children act out no matter how well the caretaker stays on top of them. It’s always important to keep that in mind, especially when you can sense that the parent is absolutely mortified by the way that their child is acting. When the parent could care less about how the child is behaving, we can chalk that up as a sign that they perhaps aren’t up to the task of being responsible for others.

There’s plenty of other examples out there, but every once in a while a situation will pop up that is cut and dry beyond a shadow of a doubt. In this case, we can confidently say that 23-year-old Valerie Hazel Carlisle in Phoenix, Arizona has absolutely no business being a mother at this point in time. As Mommy Page shares, she’s been arrested on child neglect charges after an incident that can only be described as downright shocking.

Carlisle would bring her two daughters, ages 9 and 2, to an area park. When they got there, the mom ordered them to stay there with the instructions that she would be right back. That’s irresponsible enough right there, but it gets even worse.

After waiting for what seemed like a long time to her, the 9-year-old decided to take her sister and leave the park in an attempt to find their way home.

In addition to being left completely alone, they were dropped off without jackets, and they began to feel cold. The older girl had a vague recollection of where they should go, as she remembered they were staying at the apartment of Adrian Joaquin, who is the grandfather of their mom’s boyfriend. They would make it back to the apartment complex, but the older one had no idea which apartment it was.

They would knock on several doors until they eventually found Joaquin, who would immediately call the authorities for help. It’s been reported that the area the girls were forced to trek through is quite dangerous, and it’s generally littered with broken beer bottles and shards of glass.

To make the mother’s actions even more revolting, she dropped her little ones off in the park at night. Police would finally locate Carlisle around 2:30 am, and she was completely hammered.

Carlisle is now facing child neglect charges, and we can only hope that in addition to having as many books thrown at her as possible that she is forced to undergo counseling before having the privilege of taking the girls back into her custody. There’s no word on if the kids are staying with family or in the custody of the state at this point, but hopefully Carlisle has gotten the wake-up call she is obviously desperately in need of.
