Mom Catches Son Doing Unthinkable On Couch - Immediately Turns Him In

An unsuspecting mother walked in to her living room to make a horrific discovery.

A young teen from Maryland will be charged as an adult after he allegedly raped his 8-year-old cousin. His mother turned her son in after she caught him in the act. He could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.

Solomon Pule's case is controversial because of his tender young age, and the heinous nature of the crime. The young teen raped a girl nearly half his age, and under Maryland law, minors between 14 and 18 can be charged as an adult if they 'committed a crime that, if committed by an adult, would be punishable by death or life in prison'.

Pule was home with his cousin, mother and younger sibling. His mother left Pule and the 8-year-old girl together in the living room and told them to clean up their mess. She then went upstairs to put her 2-year-old child down for a nap.

She was busy doing some housework up there when she realized the children downstairs had gotten too quiet.

The mother went down to check on the kids and was shocked to find her son mounting his cousin on a sofa. The girl's skirt was lifted up and Pule's pants were down. The mother also noticed a pair of scissors was right next to the two of them.

"He told me if I was to scream that he was going to cut me," said the victim to police. "He shoved his thing in me.”

Pule admitted to police that he raped the girl.

Pule's fate depended on whether he was going to be charged as a minor or as an adult. Now that the court has decided to charge him as an adult, many are questioning whether justice is truly being served here.

The case has stirred up some controversy, with some claiming that an adult prison is too dangerous for a teen boy, and a life sentence is too harsh.

Others think the punishment fit the crime perfectly. They wonder if Pule is capable of such a violent crime at age 14, what he might be capable of doing as a grown man. A long sentence, possibly a life sentence, would keep the offender off the streets permanently.

For many, it comes down to one thing: can a child of 14 years comprehend what he’s doing when he violently rapes someone?

Some say, yes, at that age a teen knows exactly what he’s doing. Two other teens who were 14 when they gang-raped a 15-year-old girl are being tried as adults in Nebraska.

"He did so knowingly," Washington County Attorney Scott Vanderschaaf argued in favor of one teen being tried as an adult. "He did so intelligently. He understood what he was doing. He has traumatized a victim for the rest of her life."

“Clearly, we have two young people that, in the state's opinion, know right from wrong, understand what they're doing and even attempted to cover it up in certain situations as the conduct was going on,” Vanderschaaf said.
