Mom Begs The Court To Release Her Son's Killer So She Can Collect Her Son's Belongings

The woman who killed 15-year-old Jacob Johnson in a hit-and-run accident hired a “high-powered defense attorney” to drag out the case "until people forgot who Jacob was” and thus prolonging his family’s suffering.

According to Independent Journal Review, Jacob’s mother Jamie has had enough. She wants the trail to end so bad that she is willing to let the person who killed her son get away with only probation. This is because Jamie just wants to get her son’s belongings back, which are being held as evidence until the trial is over.

"I got to get his clothes (which was devastating) even down to the pencil and trident wrapper he had in his pocket,” Jaime said. “For some reason I just needed every little inch of him."

Jaime has however found comfort in the fact that her’s son’s death has allowed others to live. A week before he died, she took him to get his learner’s permit where he told his mom he wanted to be an organ donor. Now four people are alive because of Jacob’s donation.

Jaime recently got to meet Logan, who received Jacob’s heart.

"I laid my head on his chest and could hear Jacob’s heart beat,” she said. “We spent the day together and I honestly felt like I had known him all of his life!"

Jaime said it was her son’s dream to be a hero one day, and that came true.

"The greatest hero they never met is the organ donor that saved their life!!" she said.
