Michael Moore Is Blaming Trump For The 'Extinction Of Human Life On Earth'

President Trump’s executive actions rolling back some of the Obama administration’s environmental protections will hasten the destruction of life on Earth, Michael Moore predicted Tuesday.

Breitbart News reported that the documentarian blasted the president for encouraging coal extraction and promoting pollution that contributes to climate change. “Historians in the near future (because that may be the only future we have) will mark today, March 28, 2017, as the day the extinction of human life on earth began,” Moore wrote on his Facebook page.

The filmmaker continued: “This is a defining moment in the history of mankind. By signing these executive orders today, Trump is declaring an act of war on the planet and its inhabitants. The one silver lining here is that Trump can’t kill the planet; the planet wants to live and has a long history of wiping out any real or perceived threats.” However, Moore claimed the planet is “paying attention” to politicians like Trump who are “hell-bent on destroying Earth.”

Breitbart News noted that just before the November election, Moore (a Hillary Clinton supporter) produced a documentary film slamming Trump. In January, he announced a campaign involving “100 days of resistance” to the new administration. Moore blasted the Republicans’ American Health Care Act, legislation designed to repeal and replace Obamacare, which did not have enough support to pass the House of Representatives last week. The filmmaker called the bill “anti-woman” and “hateful.”

Moore also recently urged Democrats to declare a “national emergency” while federal investigators look into allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government to affect the outcome of the presidential election. The Justice Department, as well as the House and Senate intelligence committees, are probing the charges.

Several members of Trump’s team spoke with Russian officials last year, when President Obama was still in the White House. FBI Director James Comey told the House Intelligence Committee last week that Russian leader Vladimir Putin “hated” Clinton. The FBI and CIA previously accused Putin of ordering last summer’s cyber attacks on computers used by Democratic National Committee officials and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
