Manhunt Ensues After Witnessing Utterly Horrible Sight, Time To Teach This Mother A Lesson

Judy Alexander has worked for the Sharp County, Arkansas post office for quite a while, and has seen some funny things. But the day she saw a 4-year-old girl and 2-year-old girls running along a country road. The older girl was wearing a torn nightgown and the younger had no clothes on at all.

Judy pulled over and checked in on the girls to make sure they were ok and to see if she could do to help them.

When she got closer, Judy realized the children were covered in feces and smelled awful.

Judy contacted the Sharp County police, and sheriff Mark Counts dispatched some deputies.

“The girls appeared not to have had a bath in several days and appeared to be covered in what looked like feces,” Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts noted.

While they were waiting, Judy took the two children and tried to find their guardian.

After they walked a couple hundred yards, she heard a strange noise from further down the road. As they got closer, she heard loud music coming from a nearby garage.

Sheriff Counts explained what Alexander found: “There she discovered 29-year-old Heather Shelton, sitting in a chair unconscious and surrounded by two pipes, a bag of marijuana, and eight bottles of open nail polish.”

Judy immediately called the police, and when the officers arrived, they located an 18-month-old baby alone in the house in worse condition than his neglected older siblings.

The two older children had been left to fend for themselves while their mom sniffed nail polish and smoked dope.

“The little baby boy’s crib had a used diaper in there that appeared to be there for a while, maybe up to a week,” Counts remarked.

The sheriff went on to say this was the worst case of child neglect that Sharp County had seen in decades. The children were transferred to the custody of the Arkansas Department of Human Services and were cleaned up and fed.

Of note, Shelton was arrested and is now facing three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, one count of possession of a controlled substance, and one count of a possession of an instrument to commit a crime.
