A Pennsylvania man has been charged with attempted murder after he beat his wife and attempted to strangle his teen daughter. According to reports, the man had a dream that his wife had cheated. He also had a little too much to drink before going to sleep that night.
Conrad Rudalavage, 49, went to be drunk on Saturday night. When he woke up in the middle of the night, he told his wife Lori Williams-Rudalavage that he was going to kill her. He then stayed true to his word and attacked the woman.
Rudalavage began punching his wife and tried to rip her clothes off. The woman tried to escape and ran outside, but he caught her in the driveway and threw her down on the pavement. He slammed his wife's head on the hard ground.
The couple's 17-year-old daughter came home at that time and rushed to intervene. When she tried to get help by calling 911, her father turned on her. He began choking the teen girl right there on the driveway.
The teen broke free of her father's hold and managed to get help from neighbors. Neighbors rushed out into the streets and pulled the abusive man off his wife. When police arrived, Rudalavage jumped in his car and fled the scene.
Police followed Rudalavage to his business and arrested him. Williams-Rudalavage was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The man admitted he'd been drinking and had a dream that his wife cheated on him. He says that's what prompted his attack. Williams-Rudalavage confirmed the story. She said after going to sleep he came downstairs, told her about his dream, threatened to kill her, and then proceeded with the attack.
Rudalavage is being held without bail and has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated and simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and recklessly endangering another person.
