Man Took A Picture When He Realized What Was Happening Inside McDonald’s - It’s Going Viral

A police officer in Chicago pulled over a woman for having expired tags. The woman explained that she and her children were currently homeless. She didn't expect the officer's reaction.

Officer Jonathan Mcleod, 26, pulled the unnamed mother over. She had two kids in the car, expired tags and she admitted she had a suspended license. "This is all I have, me and my children. We go from shelter to shelter," she explained.

The officer was within his rights to cite her, tow her car and even call child services. Instead, he asked her if she or the kids had eaten anything that day. When she said no, he led her into a McDonalds and treated them to a meal.

A man in the McDonalds saw what was going on and offered to chip in with the officer, but McLeod declined. The cop paid out of his own pocket.

Reporters got in touch with McLeod, but he didn't want to talk about his act of kindness. The man who witnessed the act in the McDonalds wants people to know, though. "Each person I make contact with, I at least want to leave them with the impression - 'Wow, that officer with Hayward PD, Officer Mcleod, he was a great guy."

"The impact that one encounter has, that one moment that Officer Mcleod had with that lady is going to resonate for the rest of her life and her children, too," said Hayward police Sgt. Ryan Cantrell.

Homeless woman Martina Lawson-Hines was told about the incident by KTVU, and responded, "Oh my gosh, It's so inspirational. Being someone who is currently homeless myself, hearing something like this inspires me to just keep going. It means that there are some good police officers out there."
