Man Offers Girl A Drink At The Bar - 2 Weeks Later Sends Her Odd Text (Photos)

A woman met a man at a bar and he offered to buy her a drink. After talking for a few moments and exchanging numbers, she moved on and forgot about him. A couple of weeks later, she got a text from him. He wanted to be reimbursed for the drink.

Abby Fenton, an 18-year-old university student in the UK, was out at a bar called Viper Rooms with her friends. That's when a stranger from out of town approached her.

"I was at the bar about to get myself a drink myself when he came over to me and said: 'I'll get that for you, you're gorgeous' and all that," explains Fenton.

The two just didn't hit it off, apparently, and went their separate ways shortly after. Two weeks later, Fenton got a text from a Liam Vipers.

"Hi hope u don't mind love but can you transfer me back £6.50?"

When Fenton asked who this was, he explained he was the guy who bought her a drink a few weeks ago.

"Can I have money back for it?" he asked, offering to send her a bank account number for the transfer.

A shocked Fenton sent a few stunned and laughing smilies before she agreed.

"Me and my friends always get bought one or two drinks on a night out but I've never had this in my life," Fenton said. "I'll be more cautious who I take free drinks from in the future!"
