Man Needed Help, Draws A Map Instead Of Writing An Address On An Envelope - It Worked

One tourist wanted to mail a letter to a family he met in his travels. Unfortunately, he didn't have their address. He did remember the area, though, so he wrote the postman a map, and gave a few details.

The tourist had been visiting Búðardalur, Iceland, when he met a family with whom he wanted to stay in touch. He drew the map on the back of the envelope, showing a few roads and a lake. He marked the family's home in red.

He wrote the country and city on the envelope, but instead of name he wrote, "A horse farm with an Icelandic/Danish couple and 3 kids and a lot of sheep!"

The envelope writer also added for the postman, "The Danish woman works in a supermarket in Búðardalur."

The only thing odder than the man's way of addressing the letter is the fact that the post office knew where to send it. The message was received.

Man's letter makes it to its intended owner because of a map.
