Man Waiting For Girlfriend Outside Jail Gets Arrested

One man in Michigan went to pick up his girlfriend when she was being released from jail, but unfortunately for him, he didn't plan ahead very well. He passed out while parked in front of the jail.

Police who found him also found him to be carrying heroin. As she was coming out of the jail, he was brought in.

Jeffery Samuel Picklesimer was parked outside the jailhouse in Livingston County on October 2, at about 11:40 p.m., according to reports. He had all the windows of his car rolled down, he had reclined the driver's side seat and passed out in the car.

A police officer discovered him and shone a light in the 26-year-old man's face. He had a difficult time rousing the sleeping man. The officer was finally successful when he used the strobe light function on his flashlight.

Picklesimer told the officer that he was just taking a nap while he waited for his girlfriend.

"He appeared to be sweating, despite (temperatures) below 60 degrees," said Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy to the Detroit Free Press.

Officers searched Picklesimer's vehicle and found several small, empty packets of heroin scattered in it. The packets, known as 'bindles', are made from folding paper in a way so that it will hold the powdered drug.

In searching Picklesimer, they found five bindles of heroin in his wallet.

Picklesimer was arrested and he is now being held at the Livingston County Jail on $100,000 bond pending a court date. No word on how his girlfriend got home after she lost her ride.

It’s always convenient for police officers when criminals come to them. It saves a lot of time and gas. It’s not very bright, however, to go and hang out outside of a police station, jail or any other building where law enforcement officers work, while you’re impaired from drug or alcohol use, or when you’re carrying drugs and drug paraphernalia.

You might as well just walk into the station and turn yourself in at that point.

One man got himself arrested outside of a Dallas police station just as he planned a rampage shooting. The man was confronted outside of the station as he was putting on a Guy Fawkes mask.

He was carrying loaded firearms and had marijuana in his possession. Thankfully, he was caught before he worked up the nerve to go into the station and carry through with his plan.

In Wisconsin, another man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after someone he was following led him to a police station. Officers got a call from a driver who said a stranger in a car was following him. He drove up to the police station where the officers were waiting for him.

The man following appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. He told officers he was just following the other car to snap pictures of it, because he found it funny that an American flag bumper sticker was on a Toyota.
