Man Disturbed After Simple Stop At Gas Station Turns Into Big Health Scare

Jose Medina stopped off for some gas on his way to work, but his day would quickly change. As he went to pump his gas at the station in Moreno Valley, California, he suddenly felt a strange prick on his finger. He initially thought it was just something on the handle, but he would quickly become terrified when he realized what he had touched.

As the Independent Journal Review shares, there was a needle attached to the handle, and it appeared to have been rigged there by an unidentified person or persons. He would immediately grab an attendant from the station, and he headed off to the emergency room to ensure he hadn’t contracted anything.

His daughter, Jacqueline Medina, is absolutely fuming over the incident, and she took to social media to share the disturbing story.

“Yesterday (05-22-17) my dad was on his way to work when he stopped at an ampm gas station in Moreno Valley to pump gas, when after coming out from paying inside, he walked outside to pick up the gas pump nozzle to push the handle clip in to start pumping when suddenly HE IS PRICKED BY A F****NG NEEDLE THAT WAS PURPOSELY PLACED THERE BY SOME DAMN LOW LIFE,” she wrote.

Her father filed a police report with the Moreno Valley Police Station, and the investigation is ongoing.

“After that happening, my dad obviously scared, confused and in just overall shock that this had just happened to him, he goes inside to notify the woman on the register of what just happened, all she said was 'sorry' and seemed to just act like it was no big deal, went out to remove it with a napkin and brushed it off! My dad not thinking drove off to notify work of what happened and he then heads to the E.R. to get checked,” Jacqueline continued.

There have been a number of hoax reports on similar incidents in the past, but this one checks out. The police have confirmed that an investigation is ongoing, and Jose legitimately had to seek medical attention.

“Obviously he is in the process of filing a police report but, I just thought it would share this experience and spread awareness again to ALWAYS check the gas pump handle to make sure some low life idiot didn't place something under there to intentionally hurt people! You can never be too safe, it doesn't hurt to check,” Jacqueline added.

Thankfully, all tests have come back negative so far, but this is a completely unbelievable experience that the family shouldn’t have to be going through. There’s absolutely nothing funny about leaving a hypodermic needle around as a prank, and we can only hope that surveillance video at the station leads to the capture of the perpetrators.

“This is not something to joke. I am angry because it's my father, of course. If it was anybody's family member I think they'd be upset, too,” Jacqueline would add. “You're never expecting something like that.”
