Man Disrespects Lady Cop, Changes His Tune When Her Partner Arrives (Video)

If that boy had been white, would he have been asked to not ride his bike on the sidewalk or would he too have been asked for his ID and hassled by police for his non-criminal actions?

Maybe… maybe not.

This video shows another example of how old ways and old methods of sustaining authority no longer work in the new world of 2016. A Merced police officer felt the need to give Jordan Lloyd, 19, a ticket for riding his bike on the sidewalk. She asked the teenager for his ID, and he refused. She tried to apprehend him and he resisted.

This prompted another officer to assist in the teen’s arrest which turned aggressive. The teen’s friend who was videotaping the ordeal, which is perfectly legal, was then arrested for obstructing justice. He, however, was never charged.

Instead of protecting and serving their communities, police’s main concern have shifted to proving points and exerting their authority over a youth who just won’t comply with old laws that prevent teenagers from riding their bikes.

“Who do you call when you’re in trouble,” someone can be heard asking in the video.

This situation shows that had the teen followed directions, he could have walked away with a citation. Instead, he ended up arrested for failing to follow an officer's orders.
