Man Discovers Baby In A Garbage Bin - Being Eaten Alive By Ants

Rungroj Attra, 53, was minding his own business and taking out the trash in Chonburi, Thailand where he works. His night would take a bizarre turn when he made a frightening discovery. There among the rubbish was a pink ‘Hello Kitty’ blanket, and wrapped in that blanket was an infant. That infant was covered in bite marks, as it was essentially being eaten alive by ants. As the Daily Mail shares, the startled man immediately contacted emergency services in a bid to save the helpless child’s life.

Police and emergency workers were quickly on the scene, and some touching footage has emerged of them frantically working to save this little girl’s life. The baby would eventually let out a loud cry, and she was quickly scooped up and placed in the ambulance in the arms of a nurse. She was quickly taken to the Chonburi Hospital. An investigation is ongoing to figure out exactly what happened here, but Police Captain Nattawut Na Chiangmai is clear on what the intent was.

“The baby was carelessly left here,” he said. ”We suspect that the intention was for her to die, as the trash can would have hidden her body and the ants would have killed her.’’

Attra would explain that he could detect a faint heartbeat as he contacted rescue workers, and he was hoping for the best here.

‘’I am happy the child survived. I was so happy when she cried out,” he said. ”I feel that the parent who brought the children leave them are very heartless. Why do not you love this kid and the baby is also so cute?’’

Unfortunately, there’s no answer to that question. The baby was found abandoned in a pile of garbage, and her body was absolutely covered in ant bites. If Attra did not find her when he did, there’s a good chance she would have been eaten alive. Exactly how anyone can leave a child in such a way is beyond comprehension. It’s even more unfathomable when you consider that she was likely abandoned by her own parent.

If the parents were simply unable to care for the child any longer, that’s the time to raise the white flag and ask for some help. That help can be found among family, friends or members of the community. If none of those are an option, assistance can be sought from the police, a hospital, a local church, or local authorities. If nothing else, one of those entities can point you in the right direction to ensure the child can be placed in the proper care.

There’s absolutely no excuse for not at least attempting to do that. We can only hope that the parents are tracked down and dealt with accordingly. This is a crime that’s simply beyond comprehension, and they deserve to have as many books thrown at them as possible. While that won’t make up for what their daughter has gone through, they do not deserve the privilege of freedom if they can behave so callously towards anyone, let alone their own flesh and blood.
