Man Demands His Wife Buries Him With His Money - Her Response Is Priceless

An older man who didn't like the idea of his wife working made her stay home to raise the kids and take care of the house. As he got older and eventually became ill, she took care of him, too.

The man was greedy and grew more and more bitter with age. He felt the money he'd worked for all his life was his, and he didn't want his wife to have any of it. As a dying wish, he asked his wife to do something for him.

“When I die, I don’t want you or anyone else to have my money. I want you to gather it all together and see that I’m buried with it,” he said.

The dutiful wife promised she would, and when the time came, she did. At the funeral, she went over to the coffin and slipped a box inside before they closed it.

"Please tell me you didn't put all that money in the coffin with that old skinflint!" said a concerned friend who knew about the husband’s request.

"Of course I gave him his money," the widow said. "I promised I would so I gathered it all together just like he asked.”

“You put all that cash into that box?” the friend asked, horrified.

“No, it wouldn’t fit. So I wrote him a check,” said the widow.

This old story has been passed around for years on the internet. Who knows if there are any seeds of truth to it, but it’s sure to keep people smiling.
