Man With Cancer Kills Coworker For Shocking Reason

After finding out that he had cancer, a man did something quite disturbing. He killed his friend and coworker.

A chef in India thought everything was fine, but then a co-worker encouraged him to get into a dirty habit: smoking. After that, the chef's life slowly began to fall apart. His health began failing and he even lost his job. The chef was so distraught and angry over how things turned out for him, he sought revenge on the person he believes is responsible for all his misfortunes: the man who encouraged him to take up smoking.

Twenty-five-year-old Mustakeem Ahmad was arrested for shooting and killing his 25-year-old co-worker, known only as Inayat. Ahmad worked at his brother-in-law's restaurant, in Uttam Nagar, with Inayat and the two became friends. It seems Inayat was a bad influence on Ahmad; he got his friend hooked on smoking cigarettes and marijuana.

“Though Ahmad and Inayat were friends at the workplace, Inayat was reportedly better at his job and well-behaved and soon became the favorite of the restaurant owner,” reported Shibesh Singhm Deputy Police Commissioner.

In Ahmad's frustration, he began smoking more and more, both tobacco and pot. The heavy smoking began to take a toll on the chef’s life, and on his job. After a while, the quality of his work deteriorated. Ahmad was fired from his job at the restaurant.

Making matters worse, he began to experience a lot of throat pain. A check-up ended up bringing more bad news.

“Ahmad developed a throat infection, forcing him to consult a doctor. Ahmad has claimed that the doctor told him he had developed throat cancer due to excessive smoking,” said Singh.

Ahmad felt all his troubles were Inayat's fault. He plotted his revenge. He purchased a pistol and some ammunition and practiced with the weapon to improve his aim. He went back to the restaurant then to ask his brother-in-law to fire Inayat. The brother-in-law refused to fire the conscientious employee.

“He was carrying his loaded pistol to the restaurant and had planned to kill Inayat if he failed to get him fired from the job. That is what eventually happened,” said an investigator on the case. “Ahmad ended up picking a fight with Inayat. He later shot at him in the middle of the argument.”

Inayat, whose last name has not been released, was killed in the confrontation.

Ahmad fled the scene, but he made a huge mistake by telling someone about his plans to evade the law. He had planned to visit a local relative to get some cash and leave the city. Police learned about the plan and were able to set up an ambush.

When Ahmad arrived at the location, police sprang into action. It resulted in a chase, but Ahmad was finally taken into custody.

Ahmad blamed all of his misfortune on another person, but he failed to take responsibility for his own choices. Now, he’s made even more choices that are only going to make his life more difficult. As if cancer and unemployment were not enough, he now faces criminal charges.
