Man Beaten Nearly To Death For One Disturbing Reason

A high school teen who was severely beaten by four men after a homecoming game is still in the hospital with multiple skull fractures and other injuries. His attackers have been identified and arrested.

Quartez Walker (20), Bobby Brown (19), La Noah Ealy Jr. (18) and Daveon Nix (20) have been arrested and charged with assault after beating high school student Brian Ogle. According to reports, the men went looking for Ogle because of Facebook posts.

Ogle had been outspokenly critical of the Black Lives Matter movement and supported the Blue Lives Matter movement on social media. Prior to the attack he had reported to school officials that he had been receiving threats. This stirred some controversy between Ogle and other students.

"My son took it to the principal at Sylacauga High School and I commend him for that. He showed her the threats that were being made to him, but she told him there was nothing she could do. I'm appalled," Allen explained.

Nix is the son of Tiffany Nix, an elected councilwoman, who made a statement about the case before her son was named as a suspect. She addressed the racial tensions leading up to and exploding after the attack.

“I feel that we have let the news and social media play a part in making this situation even worse,” Nix said. “Now is not the time for us to be divided and starting a war with each other."

Since her son was named a suspect, Nix has declined to comment.

Ogle's mother believes the adults who attacked her son should be charged with attempted murder.
