Malia Obama Reads About Her Expulsion From Harvard - She Had No Idea

Liberals cry Fox News is 'fake news'; Conservatives, following President Donald Trump's lead, call CNN and MSNBC 'fake news'. Usually the cry of 'fake news' means people don't agree with the conservative or liberal perspective of the media outlet. In the meantime, a real fake news website is out there trying to confuse everyone.

The Last Line of Defense, an actual fake news source, says former President Barack Obama's eldest daughter has been expelled from Harvard for using marijuana. According to the report, Malia Obama was caught vaping pot in a hotel lounge.

"Malia Obama, who has decided that as an adult she wants to be a pot smoking, rap listening, twerking party girl, has been ousted from the student roster at Harvard University. The school's chancellor, Malcolm Little, said that regardless of her status as a former first daughter, the rules are the rules and she won't be welcome there this fall," the report said.

According to the article, the Obamas were hiring a lawyer to file a discrimination lawsuit, 'because isn't everything about race?'

As some Obama haters cry 'aha!' and Obama supporters shake their heads in confusion, Snopes.com attempts to shed light on the report. The story is a complete fabrication. People are up and arms over nothing.

According to Snopes, the Last Line of Defense is a satirical website that is very careful to hide the fact that it's not real.

Snopes reports it is 'complete and total baloney'.

Satirical websites have been popping up in recent years to take advantage of gullible readers who believe everything they see in print, and have been cashing on as outraged individuals spread links around for stories that never actually happened.

Some real news sources have occasionally even goofed, quoting from a satirical news report without realizing it was a fake. The Washington Post once picked up a story from a satirical news website and reported that Sarah Palin was joining Al Jazeera America. Breitbart spread a false story about the Nobel Prize–winning economist, Paul Krugman, filing for bankruptcy.
