Little Girls Decide To Fundraise For Families Of Fallen Officers - Something Amazing Happens

Every child always dreams of striking it rich with their lemonade stand. And four girls from north Dallas did just that for a very special cause.

Lauren Roach, 12, Landry Nelon, 11, Emmy Roberts, 9, and her 8-year-old sister Lily managed to raise $10,000 for the Dallas Police Association after five of their officers were killed, the Miami Herald reports. That’s a lot of lemonade!

The girls, however, had no idea they would raise that much.

“People were just driving by,” Lauren’s mother, Tracey Roach said. “They didn’t want lemonade, they didn’t want anything, just giving them 20s, 50s, you name it, just giving money. And everybody saying, ‘Back the blue, back the blue, we support Dallas, we support families, help Dallas become a better place.’”

The girls reportedly went through 20 gallons of lemonade, according to Miami Herald. After a local church matched a portion of their donations, the girls delivered a $10,000 check to the police association. Other contributors include Southwest Airlines, the Austin Police Department, the Houston Police Department and other Dallas restaurants and businesses.
