Liberal Couple Sponsor Muslim Immigrant Who Show Them How Thankful He Really Is

A liberal Missouri couple were finally living the American dream. The successfully integrated Libyan refugees wanted to pay it forward by helping someone less fortunate--a charming young Muslim asylum seeker who had recently arrived from Libya. As soon as he arrived, he was quick to show his deep appreciation. Many of these asylum seekers often push western governments to adhere to the same political philosophies they fled.

In addition, many leftists ardently advocate for open borders. Ali Swei, the 25-year-old Libyan was quick to wear out his welcome with the couple that sponsored him. He has since been charged with threatening to murder his host family after they refused to pay him $30,000. Swei tried to force the couple into paying a ransom.

He also told them that he is part of the Islamic terrorist group, Ansar al-Sharia. He said he would have the group kill their family in Libya if they didn't pay up. The couple told Platte County authorities that they overheard a phone conversation in which Swei told his jihadist companions to go ahead with certain executions for unpaid ransoms.

The couple told police that Swei was asked on the phone, “What do you want us to do? We beat him up and he still doesn’t have your money.” At that point, Swei allegedly replied, “Finish him.” The man who Swei was referring to was found dead a few days later. The couple then found condolences by family members on a Facebook page dedicated to the victim. The couple decided to investigate Swei.

They found information related to training and funding of Ansar al-Sharia on Swei's computer. Swei pleaded guilty to two felonies, attempted stealing by coercion and aggravated stalking.

The couple said, “I am so relieved for my family, it’s really been a roller coaster especially for my wife. It’s really heartbreaking it’s nervousness she doesn’t sleep she has nightmares. She’s worried all the threats hopefully are never-never no family will ever go through what we have gone through.”

Swei was placed on a 4-year probation, and his sentence was suspended by a judge, who added that the suspect’s guilty pleas could prevent him from ever becoming an American citizen and may even result in his deportation.
