Judge Drops Life Sentence On Indiana Man For Horrific Crime

Christopher M. Bour, 40, pleaded guilty to all charges at his recent trial in Gary, Indiana, and his attorney attempted to insure that his sentencing would be at the mandatory minimum. According to CBS Chicago, the judge assigned to his case viewed the crimes as too ‘horrific’ for that to even be a notion.

U.S. District Court Judge Rudy Lozano dropped the hammer on Bour, imposing a sentence of life in prison plus 55 years to be served consecutively. Bour’s charges include buying a child for sex, producing child pornography, as well as possessing child pornography.

“In all honesty, much of the evidence in here is very disgusting,” said Lozano at the sentencing hearing.

Bour paid Natasha Hillard a reported $500 for a sexual arrangement with a child that would last from the time the infant girl was four-months-old until she was 18-months. Natasha has also pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. Bour contradicted himself several times during the investigation, despite claims to the contrary by his attorney that he had been cooperative throughout the case.

“What he did was very bad, there’s no way around that. But life (in prison) means he has no opportunity at a second chance,” said Bour’s attorney, Matthew Soliday.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jill Koster disagreed with Soliday’s assessment.

“There are some crimes so horrible that the defendant doesn’t deserve a second chance,” Koster said.
