Janet Jackson's Husband Did Something Sick To Her Mom, Now She's Outta There

“Maybe marriage isn’t for me? Maybe it’s my fault it never works,” Janet Jackson said in an interview after her second marriage failed, and it might have been a foreshadowing of what was to come with the pop star’s third marriage. In 2013, Jackson wed Wissam Al Mana, a Muslim, and tensions mounted over their different cultural values.
Wissam, according to reports, was obsessed with privacy, and when you’re Janet Jackson, privacy is a rare luxury. Jackson, in an effort to make her marriage work, shrank from the public eye.

Extreme changes in the 50-year-old pop star’s attire hinted that she might have converted to Islam to appease her husband. Photos revealed Jackson in billowing black clothes, such as an oversized poncho with a hood. There was no sign of Jackson’s trademark thigh-high boots or cleavage. She was covered from head to toe, and apparently didn’t even wear make-up anymore.

When Jackson became pregnant with her first child in 2015, she was hardly spotted out in public. After baby Eissa was born, Jackson super-wealthy husband hired a team of servants to cater to her and the infant around the clock. Jackson preferred to be a hands-on mother, though.

Another clash came from breastfeeding; Wissam wouldn’t permit Jackson to leave the house while she was nursing the baby. Wissam reportedly demanded that his son be brought up with his strict views.

Soon after, the couple announced that they’d split up. “Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways,” said a spokesperson.

“Janet thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy,” said an inside source.

Jackson continued her continued with the low-key lifestyle and devoted herself to her new baby. According to family insiders, Jackson is very much enjoying motherhood. She rarely ever leaves her baby’s side.

The music industry and Jackson fans are wondering if the split from Wissam could mean the star will eventually return to the stage.
