Ivanka's Magazine Cover Story Devoured By Internet - Turned Into Hundreds Of Memes

First Daughter Ivanka Trump recently appeared on the cover of US Weekly for a feature in which she explains, 'Why I disagree with my dad'. For some people, it's not enough for Ivanka to have her own opinion. If she isn't joining the 'resistance', she is somehow as bad as they see her father. The 'if you're not with us, you're against us' attitude just reeks in the comments.

President Donald Trump's daughter has long held some different political opinions from her father. Before her father ran for president, she championed LGBT issues and even supported the Paris Accord that the president pulled out of this week. Even though she has her own opinions, she's been able to put them aside and support her family. She's stated in interviews that she feels she's of better use positively influencing her father as an advisor than she would be holding signs up against him at anti-Trump demonstrations.

In April, she told interviewer Gayle King 'not to conflate lack of public denouncement with silence'.

King mentioned her critics were holding Ivanka accountable for President Trump's agenda. Ivanka explained, "...where I disagree with my father, he knows it. And I express myself with total candor."

She explains that her father listens to her, and she respects that.

People on Twitter have been having a field day with Ivanka's latest magazine cover. They've re-created the cover, replacing Trump with Darth Vader and Ivanka with Princess Leia or Luke Skywalker. One person tweeted a picture of Jack Nicholson from the film 'The Shining'. On his knee sits the son who he, later in the film, ended up trying to kill with an axe.

Some have compared Trump to alleged serial rapist Bill Cosby, and his ‘tv kids’ that initially stood behind him when allegations came pouring in that he’d date raped hundreds of women.

One person claims to have 'fixed' the cover by photoshopping it to read, "Why I Publicly Pretend to Disagree with My Dad."

Both Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have been slammed for moving their family to Washington D.C. to join the Trump administration. An inside source says they do have an influence on the president, but only to a certain extent. "Sometimes she and Jared are a big influence on Donald and sometimes he takes other opinions into account and does something they disagree with," an inside source said, according to the Daily Mail. "They win some and they lose some."

If anyone is expecting Ivanka to join 'the resistance' and start slamming her powerful father, it's unlikely. It's just not her style. Ivanka has always put family first. In 2003, in the documentary 'Born Rich', Ivanka said, "No matter what I hear about my parents, about my family, no matter what I read, the fact is that I'm absolutely proud to be a Trump."

She added, "For a while, I was worried that for my whole life I'd sort of be under my parents' shadow, but it's not a bad shadow to be under."
