Ivanka Trump Sparks Controversy With Her Latest Post (Photos)

An artist has disavowed the Trumps by claiming he returned money to President Elect Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, to delegitimatize the artwork she bought from him. It gets confusing, considering the artwork she bought with him is of a selfie she took and posted on her own social media account.

Richard Prince proclaims the art he sold to Trump is now 'fake' because he returned the $30,000 she paid for it. “This is not my work,” he tweeted last week. "I did not make it. I deny. I denounce. This [is] fake art."

It's interesting to hear Prince admit that, since the work in question is part of his 'New Portrait' series. The entire series consists of stolen Instagram posts from celebrities being printed on large canvases, then sold for ridiculously high prices (usually back to the very celebrities whose posts he stole).

It might just be the greatest racket since Ponzi schemes were invented. Some of this 'art' goes for nearly $100,000.

Trump paid $36,000 for a canvas-sized printing of her own Instagram post back in 2014, which is 'art' that Prince claimed to make. She tweeted pictures of herself standing in front of the canvas, now denounced by the 'artist' because the 'artist' was not happy that her father won a democratic election.

“The Trumps left me no choice,” Prince said. “SheNowOwnsAfake.”

At least he's admitting his art is fake — whether someone pays for it or not is irrelevant.
