It's Pretty Easy To See Why This Clever License Plate Went Viral

Driving along the nation’s highways can inspire all kinds of passive-aggressive behavior. Even the calmest among us can find something that gets on our nerves when we’re behind the wheel. For example, there are the drivers that are so obsessed with getting to their destination in record time that they pay little to no mind to traffic laws.

These incredibly dangerous drivers zip all over the place while weaving in and out of traffic, and their apparent mindset suggests that their time and lives are more valuable than that of anyone else that may be on the road.

Then there are the drivers that are paying absolutely no attention to what’s going on around them. Whether they’re chatting on the phone or texting, eating, or perhaps just engaged in conversation with their passengers, these folks have all the earmarks of the proverbial accident waiting to happen.

It only takes mere seconds of distracted driving for unfortunate incidents to develop, and there’s simply no excuse for not being aware of that. There have been a ton of high-profile stories on the perils of distracted driving, and warnings are all over the place.

Perhaps the most frustrating of all that we come across on the road are those that are obsessed with tailgating anyone that may be in their path. It’s an extraordinarily dangerous way of operating a heavy piece of machinery, but those that engage in this behavior seem to believe they are some kind of superhuman being when they climb behind the wheel. Zero consideration is given to the fact that the driver in front of them may have to hit the brakes with no notice, and that could lead to a frightening accident if it comes to pass.

Some tailgaters are so obsessed with remaining attached to the bumper in front of them that they completely lose track of where they are going. That leads to even more dangerous behavior, as they quickly swerve across multiple lanes to make sure they get to their destination.

So what can we do when we find one of these dangerous drivers behind us? Getting angry and attempting to show them the error of their ways isn’t going to do much good, so the best course of action is to simply pull over and let them speed away.

It’s simply not worth the danger in the grand scheme of things. While that may not be the most fulfilling way to get a point across, the victory comes from the fact that you’re no longer being placed in danger by another driver that clearly could care less about your safety. As AWM shares, one California driver actually found a way to be even more belligerent while tailgating, and it came courtesy of his license plate.

The unidentified driver's plate appears to be pretty random, as it reads “3J0H22A.” However, when you glance at that plate in the mirror, it reads to say ‘a*****e.’ Basically, if this driver is on your tail, you’ll know exactly what he thinks of you.

A passing motorist snapped a pic of the plate, and it quickly went viral after being shared. We can only hope that this so-called ‘vanity’ plate will not inspire even more dangerous behavior on the roads.
