Iran Claims Donald Trump Will Start A World World If He Does This

President-elect Donald Trump will have no shortage of pressing matters to deal with on day one of his administration, and it sounds like one of those matters has just leapt to the forefront. As The Independent reports, Iran’s defense minister just delivered some harsh words for the incoming commander-in-chief to deal with.

Hossein Dehghan was addressing a security conference in his nation’s capital, and it doesn’t sound like he’s a big fan of Trump. In fact, he feels that Trump’s election could ultimately lead to war.

“Enemies may want to impose a war on us based on false calculations and only taking into consideration their material capabilities,” he said.

Trump has raised concerns about a nuclear accord that was struck with Iran back in 2015, and has referred to it as “the worst deal ever negotiated.”

“Such a war would mean the destruction of the Zionist regime [Israel] and will engulf the whole region and could lead to a world war,” Dehghan continued.

While some foreign leaders are no strangers to ratcheting the rhetoric up from time to time, these particular statements are nonetheless a chilling reminder for the incoming administration that they will have their hands full in the Middle East.

“Among other consequences of the war, would be the destruction of the city-states on the southern shore of the Persian Gulf, because they lack popular support,” Dehghan said.
