Illegal Immigrants Caught Trying To Cross The Border - All Carrying This Item

Hordes of non-Hispanic illegal immigrants are pouring into the United States, and most are coming through the Mexican border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents have recently discovered that thousands of them are presenting forged travel documents.

The Mexican government is struggling with the flow of immigrants and has set up a detention camp while immigration officials are better trained to vet the immigrants. These camps are situated in Tapachula.

“The Tapachula area is along a permeable border. DHS (Department of Homeland Security) views it as one of the areas where a terrorist group that wants to do harm on U.S. soil would be most likely to come in,” said Adam Isacson, a security and border policy analyst at The Washington Office on Latin America.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials working with Mexico’s immigration department reported that most people who show up at the Mexican southern border end up heading to the northern border and crossing into Texas. Many of these people, according to Reuters, are from China, the Middle East and Africa. Also, many have forged travel documents.

The U.S. government calls such immigrants 'Special Interest Aliens,' and the Obama administration has been quiet about just how many have been apprehended. Reuters investigated and found there were 6,342 confirmed cases of SIA immigrants stopped at the southern border of Mexico. This is 2,000 more SIAs than there were in 2015, and more than 4,000 more than there were in 2014. This increase is occurring at an alarming rate.
