Horrifying Footage Shows Encounter Between Man, Little Girl At Walmart (Video)

Walmart security video captured some heartbreaking footage of the last time a little girl was seen alive. She was cheerfully walking out of a store with the man who raped and killed her.

Cherish Perrywinkle of Jacksonville, Florida was a beautiful 8-year-old girl. She was shopping with her mother and siblings at a Walmart when a man approached the family and offered to buy them burgers at McDonald's.

Rayne Perrywinkle, Cherish's mom, made a mistake she'll regret for the rest of her life. She allowed Cherish to go with the man to the front of the store to get the burgers. Instead of going into the McDonald's, however, Cherish followed the man out of the store. Under some pretense, the man lured Cherish into his white van and he drove away with her.

Perrywinkle called 911 at around 11 pm to report the incident. Ten hours later, police found the van and arrested 56-year-old Donald Smith. Smith, a registered sex offender, had only been released from jail a month earlier. He had been serving time for felony child abuse.

Cherish's lifeless body was found outside a church the next day.
