Hope ISIS Fighters Are Ready For Highway To Hell, Their Worst Nightmare Just Landed On Their Home Turf

Additional US troops continue to be deployed to Iraq and Syria in the fight against ISIS. The most recent deployment was around 500 Marines and their big artillery guns to support the attack on the ISIS capital of Raqqa in mid-March.

Convoys of American troops were also recently seen near the Syrian city of Manbij. Military analysts point out these troops are serving to deter the Turks from attacking US-supported Kurd groups they regard as insurgents as well as being available for the attack on Raqqa.

The terrorist group started in Iraq in 2004, and over time developed into the highly organized and efficient ISIS we see today. Note that both ISIS and Al Qaeda are quite similar as they are extreme radical anti-Western militant groups completely dedicated to forming an Islamic state throughout the region.

In fact, ISIS has ended up being even more hardcore and efficient than al Qaeda, as they have enjoyed great success in seizing and controlling territory. As a part of the process of financing their operations, ISIS leaders put various governing structures in place to provide community services and collect taxes.

One of the major reasons ISIS has been so success is the fact that it used surprise and moved its forces quickly, and most of the territories were captured with few losses. ISIS officially declared a caliphate back in late 2014, establishing a defacto radical Islamic state in the region. Analysts also point out that much of ISIS’s income comes from the oil fields, and were bringing in up to $3 million in gross income every day at their peak.

However, ISIS is gradually being forced out of the territory it captured, barely hanging on in the major city of Mosul and soon to be encircled in their capital city of Raqqa. Given the recent arrival of more US troops, the coalition forces in Iraq and Syria are looking forward to driving Daesh back into the trackless desert it came from.
