High School Student Forced To Undress In Front Of 'Trans' Student, Fires Back With This Response

A Berks County, Pennsylvania student was in the school locker room changing clothes when he noticed a female student, also partially undressed, in the locker room with him. The male student complained to school officials, but was told he had to be more tolerant of transgendered students. After school officials refused to protect his privacy, the conservative group 'Alliance Defending Freedom' filed a lawsuit on behalf of the student.

According to the lawsuit, the school district changed its school gender-specific bathroom and locker policies to allow students to choose the rooms with which they identify, rather than by what biological parts they possess. The school district failed to notify students or parents of the change.

The student named in the lawsuit, going by the name 'Joel Doe', was distressed over the fact that a biologically female student was changing in the locker room with him while he himself was in his underwear. He claims 'he was exposed involuntarily' because the school failed to notify families of the policy.

When the young man requested privacy on two occasions, the school officials lectured him about being more 'tolerant' and they advised him to act as though it was 'natural' as can be.

Administrators of the school claim that they didn't receive any complaints.

"This does not need to be made into a litigious issue," said Eliza Byard, executive director of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. She says the student who was uncomfortable with the situation should be given some kind of special accommodation.

“My client is standing up not only for himself but for others who feel bullied,” said Attorney Randall Wenger, representing the ADF.

Bathroom rights have been a hot topic of debate in recent years, and the debates have only increased since President Trump rolled back the federal mandate that required schools to allow transgendered students to choose the bathroom which with they identified. Now the decision is put in the hands of the individual states and districts.
