He Scalped His Ex-GirlFriend In Cold Blood, Judge Stunned By What He Says Next

Disrespect towards a judge is a tremendous breach of courthouse protocol, however, when the disrespecting man in question has been convicted of assault after scalping his ex-girlfriend, the situation becomes even more offensive. Based in Kentucky, 31-year-old Zachary Gross was charged with a variety of offenses on 8 March, 2017 after he attacked his former girlfriend, Marilyn Stanley. It is believed that Gross and his dog approached Ms. Stanley in September, 2015 after she made a post on Facebook denigrating the brutish man. Naturally, Ms. Stanley attempted to ward off the aggressive man and his pet with a knife before being attacked and bitten on the scalp by the pit bull, losing a section of her scalp and ear.

After this horrific incident, Mr. Gross allegedly mocked his ex-girlfriend, forcing her to look in a mirror at his home in Walton, 20 miles southwest of Cincinnati, before dropping her off at her mother’s home rather than a hospital. Ms. Stanley subsequently informed the authorities, telling Fox 19 News that the episode “was shocking, I didn’t expect it”. Ms. Stanley required 6 separate surgeries and is believed to suffer from permanent nerve damage as a result of the incident. Because of Ms. Stanley’s terrible injuries, Mr. Gross was brought before Boone County Judge, Rick Brueggemann where he unconvincingly told judges that while he felt ‘horrible’ about the incident, what happened to Ms. Stanley was not his fault. During the sentencing, Mr. Gross showed immense disrespect to both Judge Brueggemann and Ms. Stanley by saying "I'm not asking for your mercy. Just give me the 20. I don't need a lecture".

Mr. Gross was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment as a result of his aggressive actions and deplorable lack of care for Ms. Stanley after she was injured. Ms. Stanley’s condition and the fate of the pit bull who attacked Ms. Stanley remains unclear at this time.
