Graduate And Man Embrace Tightly - The Reason Will Bring You To Tears

Though he saved a life that day, it was Mike Hughes’ life that was changed forever the day he rescued a 9-month-old baby girl from her home that was burning down. It was 1998 when he pulled Dawnielle Davison from her crib which was surrounded by flames in a room that was billowing with smoke.

According to Little Things, Hughes says that the baby’s crib could have caught fire if he arrived any later than he did.

“The room was filled with hot smoke, another 20 seconds and it would of been a very different outcome,” Hughes said.

Hughes and Davison made headlines that day, and they recently made headlines again in 2015 when Hughes attended 18-year-old Davison’s high school graduation. She wanted to make sure she invited him to the graduation since he is the one responsible for her being able to walk on stage and accept her diploma.

“It’s really emotional,” said Davison at her graduation. “I don’t really know how to describe it. They’re happy tears. Just to realize some things could have gone wrong...”
