Girl Viciously Beaten By Her Boyfriend - His Reasoning Leaves Officials Speechless

A thug is Scotland living with his girlfriend flew into a rage when he forgot his cigarettes and believed it was his girlfriend's fault. The man physically and verbally abused the young woman for hours and she feared for her life.

James McCourt, 19, was sentenced to 21 months in jail after confessing he assaulted his 18-year-old girlfriend, Kelsie Skillen. McCourt beat the girl when he believed it was her fault he left his jacket and cigarettes somewhere. He also pleaded guilty to a second charge of 'detaining her against her will.’

McCourt and Skillen had been out for the evening. Upon returning home, McCourt realized he left his jacket, with his cigarettes in his pocket, behind. He immediately blamed her and attacked her.

"He had his knees on my chest so I couldn't get up and was punching me," said Skillen.

The young girl reports she was beaten about the head, bitten, shouted and sworn at by her abusive boyfriend. He then hid her keys, phone and iPad so she couldn't call for help. For hours he held her captive.

"Eventually I realized the more I kept screaming he more he retaliated and attacked me, eventually I got to the point I stopped and he wasn't getting the reaction he wanted," Skillen explained. "That was when he started pouring the water over me. I drifted in and out of consciousness during the incident so I didn't realize it had been going on for so long."

When McCourt got up to go to the bathroom, Skillen retrieved her iPad and quickly got in touch with her mother. When her mother arrived, the teen fled.

Skillen says she thought McCourt was going to kill her. "During the incident I kept saying 'Is it worth going to jail?' and he said 'I don't care if I go to jail as long as you're dead.'"
