Ex-Wife Sues Steve Harvey For $60 Million - Cites Whole Host Of Disturbing Actions

It has not been a good month for Steve Harvey. First, the popular TV star issued a note to his staff asking them to not approach him a little more than a week ago, and the note generated a lot of controversy and bad PR for the apparently stressed-out Harvey. Now, just when the air was starting to clear, Harvey’s apparently unstable ex-wife has upped the ante on Harvey’s difficult month.

The Family Feud star’s second ex-wife, Mary Harvey, is suing Harvey for $60 million, claiming that he damaged her "soul," according to various media reports.

Mary Harvey, who Steve Harvey married in 1996 and divorced in 2005, is apparently claiming child endangerment, torture, conspiracy against rights, kidnapping, murder, breach of contract and intentional infliction of emotional distress in her lawsuit.

Of interest, the couple have a son named Wynton, and Mary alleges the pain of losing custody of the boy has stolen away the joy of Mother's Day, and has left her suicidal and taking medications to try and deal with her bleak and lonesome life.

Media sources also point out that the lawsuit was filed by a "civil rights activist” rather than an attorney.

Harvey's representatives have not yet commented on the rather bizarre lawsuit.

Keep in mind that the couple suffered through a contentious breakup and settlement more than a decade ago, and they have ended up in the courtroom on several occasions.

Although Harvey remarried not too long after their 2005 divorce was final, Mary posted a series of YouTube videos in 2011 in which she alleged Harvey had an affair while they were married and that she got almost nothing from Harvey when they divorced.

Not surprisingly, a judge eventually refuted Mary Harvey’s obvious lies and warned her further lies on her part could result in violating a gag order and spreading false information. The judge also noted that she received three homes in the property settlement and also received $40,000 every month through March of 2009, as well as a final lump sum of $1.5 million.

Mary claimed Harvey had taken their son away from her, but court documents show that Mary intentionally sent Wynton to stay with Harvey without informing Harvey in advance. The court eventually awarded primary custody of Wynton to Harvey.
