Encounter Between This Woman And Officer Is Going Viral (Photos)

A Louisiana woman had been praying a lot, trying to make sense of the violence in America, and the ongoing tensions between police officers and people of color. She felt compelled to reach out to an officer for prayer, and the result has been inspirational to many on Facebook.

Kim Muyaka, 23, says 'God dropped in my heart' that she should pray with someone outside of her race. This made her feel a little awkward and she wondered if she could find the opportunity to do that.

Then Muyaka went to a car wash and noticed a deputy. She called him over to her car. She told him, "Sir, God has put on my heart to pray with you, not against you."

Muyaka says she could feel his hands shaking at first, and sensed there was fear inside of him. He seemed relieved by the time the prayer finished.

"Most of the time the cops are doing their job. Nine times out of ten, it’s not about the cops. If a black person kills a black person, no one gets mad, but if a white cop kills a black man, everyone’s upset," Muyaka explains. Today, judgment is all based on color. "It should be based something totally different — color has nothing to do with what’s happening."

Muyaka is planning a public prayer service in Baton Rouge, and believes America needs God more than ever now.
