Employees Discover Why Woman Always Shops With Tons Of Coupons - She Was Keep A Big Secret

A Virginia resident with a passion for extreme couponing is trying to put her talent to good use. She's using her couponing skills to feed 30,000 meals to hungry people in need. She hopes to complete her goal by her 30th birthday.

Lauren Puryear, 29, started an organization in 2012 in hopes of continuing her grandmother's legacy. Her grandma instilled in Puryear the importance of helping others. When the elderly woman passed, Puryear established the organization 'For The Love of Others'.

Puryear would try to find great deals on food in discount shops and on the internet, but when she learned about extreme couponing she realized she was on to something. Instead of hundreds, she could feed thousands of food insecure people.

"I started couponing for food items like spaghetti, meatballs, and I was (often) able to get the items for free or for little to no money," said Puryear. On just $20, she can provide about 150 meals.

The single mother does have a job, but she says that her organization is her true passion. "It's probably the most exhilarating thing I could ever do in life," she said.
