Don't Pick Money Up Off Your Windshield, Call The Police Immediately

As opposed to being productive members of society, the thieves and crooks of the world seem perfectly content to devise new schemes that will allow them to steal other people’s stuff. According to FOX 13, there’s yet another scam to watch out for, this time involving money left on car windshields.

The ploy has popped up in parking lots across the nation. Unsuspecting drivers enter their vehicle and start it, only to notice a crisp one hundred dollar bill under the windshield wiper on the windshield. When they hop out of the car to retrieve it, they are promptly carjacked. The thief jumps into the driver’s seat of the already running car to take off, leaving the driver to revisit the age old adage of things appearing too good to be true.

So if you’ve just finished a round of shopping and are lamenting about all the money you just dropped, the appearance of a little windshield money can be an awfully pleasant site. Acting on the instinct to grab it will quickly leave you in much worse circumstances, and should be completely avoided. Perhaps if enough people resist the instinct, the creative geniuses behind this gem will place the same effort into acquiring money and the things they desire the old-fashioned way.
