Don Lemon Refuses To Call The Chicago Assault ‘Evil’

Every organization has that one employee that manages to remain gainfully employed despite having an incredible knack for dining on their own foot or doing things that would lead to the termination of the average person. For CNN, that employee is Don Lemon, and you would have to think there’s a bunch of employees that are wondering exactly who he has compromising photos of right about now.

As Breitbart reports, Lemon was at the microphone to educate viewers on the way he sees the world once again, and this time it was through the lens of someone that had just watched the disturbing Facebook Live torture video that emanated out of Chicago. That video featured four teenagers torturing a special-needs teen while dropping assorted verbal gems such as “f*** white people.”

Lemon was discussing things with guest Matt Lewis, who offered up this take.

“But at the end of the day, you just try to wrap your head around evil. That’s what this is, it’s evil. It’s brutality. It’s man’s inhumanity to man,” Lewis said.

“I don’t think it’s evil. I don’t think it’s evil. I think these are young people and I think they have bad home training. I say, who is raising these young people?” Lemon replied.

Got it. On Lemon’s planet, no one is responsible for their own actions. When there was a rash of false reports about hate-related crimes stemming from Trump supporters, that was pinned on President-elect Trump promoting hate. Now we have an actual case of violence that also features derogatory commentary against the President-elect, and it’s the fault of the perpetrators parents.

Perhaps Lemon is better suited for the role he undertook on New Year’s Eve for the network - getting hammered on tequila and acting belligerent - as opposed to the intelligent and frank discussion of issues.
